The club was formed in 1983 by a group of guys who were sick of the ‘normal’ sunday league scene ... some of which being full of racist neanderthals with violent tendencies.

The original criteria was that you had to be a card carrying member of the Labour party (though nobody ever checked). Over 30 years on, and still going strong, the main question we ask is; are you someone who shares our values & beliefs and agrees with our constitution?

Over the years the club expanded (at one point we had 2 men’s 11 a side teams and 2 women’s 11 a side teams)  but the political side got diluted and there was a period when we were in danger of becoming ‘just another club’.  Thankfully we didn’t and the club continues to try to be different and make a difference.
